As part of Coca-Cola's "Happiness" Campaign, a branded truck was driven throughout various neighborhoods in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to deliver unexpected doses of happiness. The 'vending machine on wheels' was parked in unsuspecting residential areas, waiting for curious passers by to push the button. To their surprise residents would find a free Coca-Cola product waiting in the dispensary. It didn't take long for a crowd to form and the happiness to spread!

Mobile Marketing: Smart Car Advertisement



Smart car is proving once again that bigger, is not always better.The space saving and eco-friendly car is turning heads with its latest mobile advertising campaign. Life-sized portraits of the vehicle have been spotted on construction cement trucks. As the mixers on the cement truck rotate, a photo of the car appears followed by the quote, "Smallest turning radius." Green Marketing: Biodegradable Packaging



Plastic packaging can cause much harm to the Earth's atmosphere and eco-system. To move away from causing such disasters, Ben Huttly, a design student from the UK, has come up with 100% biodegradable and recyclable packaging designs for fresh produce. Huttly has created vegetable labels using twine and natural cotton. Each vegetable tag is embedded with seeds for consumers to start their own sustainable gardens. Social Media Marketing: Orange UK



Orange UK, a mobile broadband shop and website, decided to bring community cheer to their loyal social media fans. Over the chilly Winter season, the Orange Winter Warmer campaign was launched. During the program, website users simply tweeted about someone who was having a bad day with the hashtag #winterwarmer and Orange UK would send a truck filled with chocolates, hot drinks and scarves over for a quick pick-me-up!



To continue their user appreciation campaign, Orange UK has also launched the Valentine's Day "Isn't it Tweet" campaign where users submit tweets to be made into short animations. Watch the videos to learn more! [via The Feed]

Mobile Media: Alfa Romeo Mobile Billboard



To promote their latest automobile collection, Alfa Romeo, an Italian car brand, created a promotional advertisement that stalked shoppers where ever they went, literally. Mobilized advertisements and billboards were placed in busy mall destinations displaying new car models and prices. Interactive Marketing: WeSC Display Window


IAD students at Hyper Island digital design school created an interactive display window to help promote WeSC, an urban, street wear brand. The goal of the project was to connect WeSC with music and art to create memorable consumer experiences. The store's display window was transformed into a giant interactive screen where pedestrians took control of camera angles and on-screen action with simple body movements. Background scenes on display were submitted by artists and musicians online, from all over the world. Within two days, the promotion had:
  • 26,000 plays
  • 80,000 loads
  • 400 likes
  • 300 blog posts

Experiential Marketing: Caribou Coffee Bus Stop



Caribou Coffee was looking for a creative way to promote their newest "Hot 'n Wholesome" breakfast sandwich selection. Bus shelters in Minneapolis were transformed into mini bake ovens, decked out with a sandwich display backdrop and a stove top. Riders were able to enjoy a heated bus-wait within each "oven" shelter. McDonald's wanted a new way to bring attention to their beloved breakfast menu. To do so, the fast food chain created a real-time, sundial billboard. During each morning hour, a shadow, cast by the clock, clearly points out what sandwich is available for purchase at that specific time. Guerrilla Marketing: The Pink Squad - Union Insurance



Union Insurance wanted a fun and creative way to create buzz around their newest insurance program: siding with safe drivers. To spread the word, they posed the question, "If insurance companies side with safe drivers, who would punish unsafe drivers?" The Pink Squad was then formed to take on the policing task. The Pink Squad went around punishing unruly drivers with confetti guns, packaging materials, plungers and more. Once media coverage began pouring in, Union bank announced it's association with the squad, leading to an increase in consumer insurance preference, 82,000 fans on Facebook and ranking closely amongst their top 4 competitors.
